Cool C Granted His 2nd Stay Of Execution

Today was supposed of the best last one on earth for Philly rap legend Cool C.

C, real name Christopher Douglas Roney was set to die by lethal injection but was saved at the last minute from Gov. Tom Corbett.

In December, Roney, best known for the late 90s hit “Glamorous Life,” was granted an emergency stay of execution by Philly Judge L. Felipe Restrepo.

Roney was found guilty of the murder of Philadelphia Police Officer Lauretha Vaird on Oct. 30, 1996. Two days later, he was sentenced to death.

He’s proclaimed his innocence since he initially charged with the murder.
