BBC Documentary”The Street” follows people’s lives on the streets of Scotland. During taping when filmmakers were interviewing a street performer named Melo, the men shared a moment that none of them will forget.
While sharing his story, Melo was interrupted by two men who began screaming racial slurs at him including “black bastard” and attempted to break his instruments.
One of the men Francis Muir, attacked Melo, leaving him no choice to defend himself. As they continue to throw blows and try to kick him for no apparent reason, Melo says that ‘he’s black and proud.’
